Executive Chef Öner Çulfaz is the man who brings together the different cuisines of the world, proving that “taste unites peoples”. He is the holder of three Guinness world records. He has created the largest baklava in the world, the largest cake in the world and 1453 different types of appetizers, thus achieving unforgettable achievements with his team. It is the president of one of the most numerous culinary federations in the world, TEŞPAKON (Federation of Professional Chefs, Confectioners and Bakers of Turkey), who will be one of the two representatives of our Southeastern neighbor during GastronomiX 2025 in the extensive and fascinating theme “The Mediterranean – a Sea of Flavors”.
The GastronomiX 2025 high-end culinary forum will take over Sofia from February 18 to 21 at the Inter Expo Center. This will happen within the framework of SIHRE hotel, restaurant and catering equipment exhibition.

Starting his culinary journey in 1992, as an Executive Chef in international hotel and restaurant groups, today Öner Çulfaz is highly appreciated by gastronomic guilds around the world for his efforts and creativity. He is the president of TEŞPAKON (Federation of Professional Chefs, Confectioners and Bakers of Turkey) and WICS (World Islamic Culinary Society).

Executive Chef Öner Çulfaz is a certified international judge who has participated in over 300 international culinary competitions. He has created the largest gastronomic festivals in his country – over 360 in number. These events are becoming a kind of international forums, uniting chefs from 60 countries and promoting the cultural and culinary traditions of each country.
