The President of the Guild of Professional Chefs of Greek Gastronomy and Vice President of the Federation of Professional Chefs of Greece, Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas, will arrive in Bulgaria especially for GastronomiX. This was announced by the organizers of the haute cuisine forum, which will conquer Sofia from February 18 to 21, within the framework of SIHRE horeca exhibition.
The winner of a Michelin star, a GTBB International Gold Medal for the development and dissemination of Greek cuisine and many other awards, will represent Greece during GastronomiX 2025. Our southern neighbor will also be represented by Chef George Lorenzos.
“This year, the format places a special emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine. From February 18 to 21, leading culinary experts will present visions and skills focused on the theme “The Mediterranean – a sea of flavors”, share the organizers of GastronomiX – Inter Expo Center and the Bulgarian Association of Professional Chefs. And the co-organizer of the format that will introduce us to the Mediterranean is the Guild of Professional Chefs of Greek Gastronomy. Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas is also involved in the process with all his energy. A main partner of GastronomiX is AVA-M company.
Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid
Executive Chef Stilianos Dinga’s path in gastronomy began 32 years ago. Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Madrid, today he is Executive Chef R&D at the company Artemisia Spices. In addition, he is a culinary consultant to catering, hotel and meat preparation companies throughout Greece, as well as in the creation of innovative menus and products. At the same time, he is a lecturer in gastronomy at the Institute of Vocational Training in Thessaloniki.
The top chef, whom we will meet at GastronomiX 2025 at Inter Expo Center, is an excellent connoisseur of Greek cuisine. “My vision is the spread of Greek traditional gastronomy, combined with modern trends and practices, but preserving the traditional element of Greek cuisine. An integral part is the cooperation with producers of local organic products. This guarantees excellent quality,” he shares. Highly valued around the world, Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas is a model of perseverance, creativity and dedication to culinary art. Today he is:
- Vice President of the Federation of Professional Chefs of Greece;
- President of the Guild of Professional Chefs of Greek Gastronomy;
- Member of the World Federation of Professional Chefs;
- Member of the Hellenic Tourism Organization Commission as an auditor for the certification of Greek cuisine in restaurants;
- Official Gastronomy Judge of the World Federation of Professional Chefs WOACS;
- Author and host of the TV shows “Favorite Dish” and “Meet the Chef” in Greece;
- Lecturer at the Horeca Academy and co-founder of the Academy of Gastronomy – the only high culinary school in Greece;

Having dedicated his life to cooking, among the areas in which Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas puts his efforts is the creation and implementation of innovative techniques. It is Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas who is the creator of liquid smoke, which is widely used in the food industry and gastronomy.
His works on smoking and the preparation of smoked meat products are a basic material in the training of Greek gastronomy in educational institutions in Greece and abroad. He is the author of a large part of the teaching material for culinary specialties at the Institute of Vocational Training, and in particular – “The Fundamentals of Taste and Spices”. Among his works are specialized books on culinary techniques, the most famous of which are those on spices and their use and the art of culinary smoking.
And yes, that’s not all. Today, Executive Chef Stilianos Dingas has a number of international awards, including that of the global restaurant rating platform Restaurant Guru. His two restaurants testify to his dedication and love for gastronomy. In September 2025, the launch of “A dish from the east” in Turkey is planned.
